SOHS Course Registration Information
*This information is for students currently enrolled at Sonora High School in grades 9 - 11*
Important 2026/27 Course Registration Information
Process:
- An informational Registration video will be shown in class to students and will be posted on Sonora’s website for reference after 2/13/2026
- All students will receive a copy of their transcript, graduation status report, and their CSU Eligibility report for A-G requirements
- Counselors will be available after each registration presentation to answer questions and students select classes for next year, including
- Counselors will meet with students individually during their designated week by grade level after each in-class presentation.
- Students will select their courses using the online Course Request Google Form
- Each grade level will have one week to complete their Course Request
- Students must log in using their school email and can only submit the form ONCE

- A-G Eligibility Requirements are a sequence of high school courses that students must complete (with a grade of C or better) to be minimally eligible for admission to the University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU). They represent the basic level of academic preparation that high school students should achieve to undertake university work.

Summer School Course Registration
- Students will be able to request Summer School classes in their online course request as part of the registration process
- Students will need to take summer school courses if they failed a class needed for graduation or earned a D in a class required for college admissions and want to remain eligible (A-G requirements).
- As counselors review each student's transcript, counselors may enroll students into summer school on a need basis to ensure students are on track to graduate.
- Summer School Dates:
- Session 1: June 1 - June 18th (corresponds to the Fall semester)
- Session 2: June 22 - July 9 (corresponds to the Spring semester)
Counseling Appointments
- Counselors will not be able to schedule individual appointments until after the registration window ends on February 23, 2026
- During the registration window, counselors will be available to meet with and assist students after each in-class presentation

Make-up Week: February 23 - February 27
- For students who were absent during their assigned class period or do not have one of the classes listed above
