Library
Welcome to the library. We are open from 7:15 to 3:45 daily. On Tuesdays the library remains open until 5:00 for faculty tutoring. From 3:00 until 5:00 on Tuesdays, teachers in Math, English, Spanish, and Social Studies are availble to tutor students.

Students are encouraged to come by to work or study in groups or individually, or to browse for books. The library computers will be available to students as soon as the new system of student accounts is created and tested. This will allow students the ability to store their documents on a campus server where they can be accessed not only in the library, but on any computer on or off campus whenever the student logs on to the system.

LIBRARY SERVICES POLL

We have been asked by the district to prioritize library services so that decisions can be made on the best "model of library services" for next year. You may take a short poll to input your preferences by clicking here.

To see more of what's going on in the library, check our library calendar and the Library News and Announcements page.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

The goal of the Sonora High School Library staff is to enhance student learning, foster a love of reading, and work with teachers to produce information-literate students who are well-prepared for the rigors of research at the post-secondary level.
In support of this goal:
  • The library will be open daily from 7:15 to 3:45. Faculty tutoring during evening hours may be announced.
  • Freshman students will attend a Library Orientation during which they will learn more about library services and resources and how to use them. The orientation will also include lessons on cybersafety.
  • Students are welcome to come to the library during the school day to check out a book, study, or work collaboratively on projects. Questions??? Come to the library for further information on library services and resources.
  • Overdue notice will be sent periodically to 3rd period teachers for distribution. Fines will be charged at a rate of $.10 per school day per book.
  • Students are responsible for lost or damaged books and will be charged replacement costs as well as a processing fee.
